Media Release: U17 Football Manager

The Galway GAA Management Committee is recommending Cosmos Gilmore as the new U17 Football Manager on a three-year term.

With over a decade of experience working with Galway GAA Academy teams, and having previously served as both Minor and U20 Selector, Cosmos brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the role.

In 2025, he successfully managed the Galway U16 team to Ted Webb Cup success, underlining his ability to develop and guide emerging talent. He is currently the Senior Football Manager of Cumann Peile Bhearna Na Forbacha and also gained valuable inter-county experience as a Senior Selector with Longford in 2023 and 2024.

His backroom team will be confirmed in due course.

This appointment once again reinforces our commitment to the Academy pathway for managers and coaches as well as players.
